- take it to the store and they might can do somethin about it
- Take tin foil and line a pan put your silver down then boil some water once the water is boiled pour into the pan along with 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then rinse off.
- There are special creams but you can use vinegar too.
- Put it in a mixture of hot water, vinegar & lime. Wash it after 1 hour.
- Toothpaste works great...just put some on an old toothbrush, with a bit of water and brush , then rinse in warm water, buff it up, and you have some shiny silver.
- if you do not have silver polish try using some baking soda & water past. take a small piece of soft cloth wet it & dip into soda, then rub on to jewellery when finished rince in cold water
- For a problem like, you should take your silver to a jeweler. It probably oxidized or there was a chemical reaction that caused it. There are chemical cleaners for silver jewelry, so you can try that, but make sure to ask a jeweler to find out what might have caused the change in color!
- A cheap way to polish silver is to mix baking soda and lemon juice together, then use a toothbrush to gently scrub the silver clean. It works really well for tarnished silverwear too.
- check out qvcuk.com or qvc.com in the States for a jewellery cleaning kit, which uses sonic pulses and cleaning fluid to bring jewellery back to new. DO NOT PUT silver jewellery into it if it is meant to have oxided markings to make it appear antique. DO NOT PUT some stones into it like opals, or natural items like pearls Usually silver goes black, the gold showing through, might be an indication it is silver plated and not solid silver
- Use tooth past w/backing soda
